Position: Electrical Engineer

Location: Cambridgeshire

Salary: 34,000 - 36,000

Shift - 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

Permanent, full-time

My client is an established and expanding FMCG company who are looking to add an electrical engineer to their already successful engineering team. The role

As part of the engineering team, your duties would include:

* Electrical maintenance of the machines
* Planned and Preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
* Responding to emergency machine break downs throughout the plant
* Involvement with new design, installation and movements of existing machines
* Ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
* You will also be involved in continuous improvement projects

Ideal Candidate

As an ideal candidate you should have recognised qualification in electrical or electronic engineering with experience in an FMCG environment preferably. Ideally you will demonstrate good mechanical skills, with good communication / presentation skills. You should be target driven with the initiative to be able to solve problems. You should also have a sound knowledge of PLCs, perhaps with programming skills, troubleshooting skills, with a knowledge of single and 3 phase motors, control circuits and various measurement devices. You will also have the ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings and be PC literate.
