Job Title – Tool Room Coordinator
Job Type – Permanent
Location – Tyseley
Salary - £36,5000 pa
Working Hours – Double day shifts

Company – Our client is one of the region’s largest manufacturer of pressed parts for the automotive industry and are currently recruiting for an experienced tool room coordinator for their site in Tysley, Birmingham. Due to increased work load and continued growth this is a fantastic opportunity to join this thriving organisation.

Job Overview - Working closely with the Operations Team to manage all tool repairs, modifications and improvements. To also assist with the new tools coming in to the business, to include supporting HLRs and snagging

Job Role -
• To negotiate tool release times with planning on all refurbishments and achieve agreed finish times.
• To carry out all process improvements on tooling where capacity allows. Remove off standard costs.
• Monitor and control the tool room budget as agreed with the Operations Manager.
• Maintain good standards of Health and Safety and Environmental requirements, including housekeeping.
• To direct and control the tool room including the over time.
• Identify tooling improvements for quality, cost and process
• To complete monthly tool room report.
• Attend Operational meetings to support production and process engineering.
• To co-ordinate the efforts of the tool room in order to ensure that the plan is achieved within the laid-down quality, time scales and budgets.
• Ensure that housekeeping in the tool room is of the highest standard and maintained
• To ensure that all the toolmakers fully understand their duties and are capable of achieving their goals and objectives, whilst continuously keeping them informed regarding matters that will help them succeed.
• Involvement with recruitment/selection process i.e. sits in interviews with the Operations Manager for new team members.
• Carry out Probationary Reviews, Performance and Development Reviews & Return to Work Interviews
• Mange time & attendance and personnel issues (in conjunction with HR Department
